    Description

    Antique Fine Hand Crafted Polychrome Washoe Native American Coiled Gift Basket on a Single Rod Foundation Created from Gathered Native American Plants (Willow, Redbud, & Devils Claw).
    Circa 1910 -1935
    4 inches high x 8 inches in diameter
    Quality: Fine: 10 coils and 7 - 8 rods to the inch.
    Condition: Very Good: I noticed one fine possible rim rod break, and three missing rim wrap stitches.
    Description; this basket was made from gathered wild basketry plants with an oval start.
    The Washoe, a one-time semi nomadic tribe lived in the region near Lake Tahoe, and down to Carson City, Nevada.
    This basket was from a San Francisco Bay Area, California collection.
